1. OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 27) 
a) Beyond any boundary wall or fence, hedge or wall. 
b) Beyond the white stakes to the rear of the 18th green. NOTE: This area includes the Clubhouse, car park, Practice putting green, flower beds and all artificially surfaced areas in the surrounding area. 
c) Beyond the whites stakes to the rear and side of the 9th tee and the side of the 12th tee.
 
2. OBSTRUCTIONS (Rule 24)
 
a) Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions (Rule 24-1) b) All artificially surfaced roads and paths are immovable obstructions and relief is obtained as prescribed in Rule 24-2b(i). 
c) Relief from immovable obstructions is obtained under Rule 24-2. 
d) Immovable obstructions close to the putting green. The Specimen Local Rule, page 146 in the Rules of Golf applies. (This replaces the ‘sprinkler head’ rule) 
e) Protection of young trees (Rule 24-2b(i)) Any tree identified by stakes or guards are G.U.R. from which play is prohibited. If such a tree interferes with a player’s stance or the area of his intended swing, the ball MUST be lifted without penalty and dropped within one club length of the nearest point of relief. The ball may be cleaned when so lifted. 

3. GROUND UNDER REPAIR (Rule 25-1)

a) All copses defined with blue stakes are G.U.R. from which play is prohibited. If such an area interferes with the player’s stance or the area of his intended swing relief MUST be taken in accordance with Rule 25-1b(i). NB If a ball is lost in such an area Rule 25-1c(i) applies.
b) Deep ruts, not mere indentations, caused by course machinery, in a closely mown area. 

4. WATER HAZARDS (Rule 26)
 
a) Ordinary water hazards are identified by yellow stakes or defined by yellow lines. (Rule 26-1a & 1b) 
b) Lateral water hazards are identified by red stakes or defined by red lines. 

5. PRACTICE (Rule 33-2c) 

On the day of a stroke play competition, or between rounds, practice is permitted on the designated practice grounds situated: 
a) to the left of the 11th hole. 
b) to the right of the 16th hole. 
During normal play these areas are in play and the ball must be played as it lies or declared unplayable under Rule 28. 

6th HOLE DROP ZONES

When a players ball finishes against the fence directly behind the 6th green and is in bounds, relief may be taken under penalty of one stroke into the nearest designated drop zone.  Note a ball out of bounds shall be treated as such and normal rulesw for stroke and distance apply.

Penalty for breach of local rule: Matchplay – Loss of hole Strokeplay – Two strokes
