Some FAQ's About Membership

Membership year is 1 March to 28 February.You can join part way through the year and your subscription will be calculated on a pro-rata basis.

* We do not have a waiting list.

* We do not have a joining fee.

* You do not need a golf handicap to join.

Payment of subscription fee can be either the total amount or monthly by direct debit - at no extra cost. The direct debit payments are completed in December, your monthly payment will be calculated accordingly.

Gift Aid forms part of the subscription. We can claim tax relief on £75 of your subscription. This only requires you to fill in the back of the membership form.

To join the easiest method is to call into the club office, complete a membership form and organise payment. Forms can be obtained from the office, in the foyer, from the Pro and printed from the website About Us > Membership Subscriptions.

Applications for membership are processed as quickly as possible.

FAQ's - About the Clubhouse

Opening times vary between summer and winter. Currently the clubhouse is opened at 7am.
Dress code is generally smart casual, see the About Us section.

Loyalty cards for members get you 10% off the price of food and drink at the bar. You can add money to your card at the bar.

Sky Sports is available in both the lounge and the snooker room. The TV's can show the same channel or different ones.

Functions can be catered for, you can get further information in the About Us section or contact bar and catering directly. The only stipulation for non members booking is that they have a member to stand as guarantor.

Office opening is 9am - 1pm Mon - Fri.

About Golf
Tee booking is electronic and can be accessed on this website and by the BRS Golf App on mobile phones. Help sheets are available in Members. > Computer Help.
Booking for competitions is done on HowDidIDo.

CDH numbers identify individual golfers with the English Golf Union and are frequently required for entry into County and Open events. The number appears on your handicap certificate and on your HowDidIDo profile.

Handicap certificates can be requested from the Secretary's office. You can also see them on HowDidIDo.

Passports are required to play at Bedale, Teesside and Saltburn under our reciprocal arrangements. They can be obtained from the Office on production of a digital photo.

Reciprocal golf is available at: Arcot Hall, Bedale, Boldon, Catterick, Consett, Easingwold, Saltburn, South Moor, Stocksfield and Teesside. Further information in Membership.

County Members can find information on the County website - see About Us > Weblinks in the County Schemes section. This should be the place to look if you want to join and download an application form. It costs £4 per year.

The new County Card is available from the CLUB Office. All members are eligible for one as part of their annual club subscription. The card allows you to play at affiliated clubs both in Durham and the rest of England at a discounted rate.

County Seniors (Durham County Veterans Golf Association) - over 55 - arrange competitions and team matches. Membership £6, see About Us > Weblinks, in the County Seniors section select membership form.

Visitors are welcome and can book tee times after 10am 7 days in advance.
