Due to Neil Cameron’s impending retirement on 31st March, there is a vacancy for the position of Treasurer, which we would prefer to fill with a candidate known to club members; if possible.
A full job description, including salary and holiday entitlement, is available from the Secretary’s Office but the key aspects of the role are:-
• 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Maintain the club’s accounting records using SAGE accounting software
• Prepare and present monthly reports on the club’s financial position and cash flow to the Executive Management Team
• Prepare and manage Gift Aid submissions
• Management of the BAGC Loyalty Card Scheme
• Support EMT in the review of all staff and supplier contracts
• Manage day to day banking and the timely settlement of accounts
• Work effectively with BAGC auditors to complete annual accounts and tax returns
The position of Club Treasurer is a key role within the club and demands a high degree of integrity and strong communication skills. If you are interested in this role (or know of someone who may be interested) please apply to the Secretary for full details.
Applications will close on 25th January and selected candidates will be interviewed during week commencing 4th February. A handover period of up to one month will be available to work with Neil until 29th March.
